Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chairs the first meeting of the Ministerial Council for Human Development
-----------------

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, chaired today, Monday, the first meeting of the Ministerial Council for Human Development for the year 2021.

The council discussed a number of issues on its agenda, and took decisions and directives related to them.

His Excellency affirmed that investing in human energy is the best way to establish a sustainable future economy that addresses challenges and ensures long-term prosperity.

Al-Kazemi added that the state's role should be directed towards establishing the human and material infrastructure for development, and making room for the private sector to assume its role in accelerating the economy and providing job opportunities that preserve the dignity of the citizen and the future of his family.

His Excellency indicated that we will not reach real development without a systematic fight against corruption, which has begun to establish an exclusive approach based on influence and lawlessness, and is producing a new worrying case of class disparity.

Mr. Al-Kazemi indicated that the government will continue to make difficult decisions, despite the political repercussions, and despite what may happen from popular misunderstanding here or there, but the historical responsibility in which we found ourselves requires us to take steps that achieve the country's strategic national interests.
