Cabinet spokesman Hassan Nazim announced today, Tuesday, the formation of a committee in the cabinet to study amendments to the federal budget for 2021.


Nazem said at the weekly cabinet conference attended by the "Tigris" correspondent, that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi expressed his great concern about the developments of the pandemic," pointing out that "the Minister of Health indicated to the Cabinet that we are heading to a difficult situation in Iraq and that the necessary measures must be taken."


He added that "strict decisions and measures will be taken by the Supreme Committee regarding developments in the pandemic next Saturday."


Nazem confirmed, "The government received the 2021 budget with amendments from the Parliamentary Finance Committee," explaining that "the Council of Ministers formed a committee to study the budget amendments within two days.


He pointed out that "there is work to complete the second part of the white paper related to projects," noting that "the cabinet voted to approve the governance plan for the reform program."
