Today, Monday, an Iraqi coalition identified the reasons for the delay in adopting the federal budget law for 2021.
"The budget was long overdue in the House of Representatives, and it took an unexpected time, exceeding 3 months," said Hassan Khalati, a member of the coalition, in a statement to the "National News Center."
And that "most of the points of disagreement have been resolved, and what remains related to the Kurdistan region and the share of the budget and ratios in it, and the amount of oil received by the regional government," indicating that "several proposals were made during the meetings that were held between the regional government and the federal government."
Khatti confirmed that "this week we will witness the passage of the budget," explaining that the parties "do not want to repeat the experience of the previous year, nor the year 2014; The fact that the matter has serious and major repercussions, and the country cannot remain without a budget.
He pointed out that "the ceiling of the agreements will definitely be the constitution, and there remains a field for the issue of reaching agreements."
