Attempts to persuade the Sadrist movement to participate in "Al-Kazemi Dialogue" tomorrow
16th August, 2022Informed political sources revealed today, Tuesday, that there are attempts to persuade the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to participate in the "national dialogue", which Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi called for tomorrow to resolve the political crisis in Iraq.
The sources told Shafaq News Agency, "There are attempts being made by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and other political parties in order to persuade the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to participate in the "national dialogue" or the participation of his representative in this dialogue."
She indicated that "until this moment, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, rejects the idea of any dialogue with the forces of the coordination framework. He wants to open this dialogue, after a decision is made to dissolve Parliament."
The sources believed that the failure of the Sadrist movement to participate in the "national dialogue", called for by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, means "the failure of this dialogue and its failure to achieve any results."
Earlier today, multiple sources from within the coordination framework, which includes Shiite forces with the exception of the Sadrist movement, revealed that all the leaders of the framework and the blocs allied with it will attend the "national dialogue" tomorrow, and indicated the nomination of two alternatives to head the government instead of Muhammad Shi'a Al-Sudani.
However, the sources contingent upon reaching a solution to get out of the political deadlock, with "the agreement of all the forces among themselves to overcome differences and start a real dialogue, and if it is necessary to replace the framework candidate for prime minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, there is more than one alternative candidate, most notably Haider Al-Abadi and Abdul-Hussein Abtan."
Al-Kazemi called earlier today, "the leaders of the national political forces for a national meeting at the government palace tomorrow, Wednesday, to start a serious national dialogue and joint thinking, in order to find solutions to the current political crisis, and the current closures within the framework of the constitution and on the grounds of the supreme national interest, including It contributes to de-escalating the current escalation.
