46 banks and 123 exchange companies participated and mediated in the auction that the bank conducted from today, Thursday.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 266 million and 699 thousand and 952 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 240 million and 899 thousand and 952 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 25 million and 800 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 46 banks and 123 money exchange and mediation companies participated in today's auction.
