The Ministry «Peshmerga» Kurdish it would send a delegation to Baghdad on Sunday to hold negotiations with the federal government to end the military tension in the disputed areas, while assuring Kurdish lawmaker that unclear border between the disputed areas the main obstacles in reaching a final agreement.
The parties engaged in a new round of negotiations aimed at setting up a mechanism for co-management of the security file in the disputed areas, after military tension is the most dangerous which Ausbandana since the fall of the regime in 2003, and warned of a military confrontation in the district of Tuz.
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Peshmerga team Jabbar Yawar told a press conference that «the Joint Supreme Committee of the Ministries of the Peshmerga and the Iraqi defense held a new round of negotiations in Baghdad on Sunday», adding that «the Kurdish delegation will present a paper composed of nine points to resolve the crisis», without revealing thrust points.
The negotiations were stalled in the first meeting, which was held on December 26 (December) last year, when he refused to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki 11 points from 14 by the Kurdish delegation, before returning to the negotiating table with the intervention of President Jalal Talabani.
Furthermore, said a member of the Security and Defense Committee in parliament «Kurdistan Alliance» Chuan Taha told «life» that «both sides agree in principle to establish a mechanism to resolve the crisis, but the differences lie in the details», adding that «the problem in the implementation of the agreement on the ground in terms of the distribution of the joint forces, the lack of clarity within the disputed areas, and this needs to be a political agreement.
