Chairman of the Kuwaiti National Assembly's Hamoudi: Kuwait and Iraq are seeking to turn the page on the past

Said the Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Ali Fahad Al-Rashed said Kuwait and Iraq are seeking to turn the page on the past and to develop and strengthen their bilateral relations.
This came in a press statement made by Al-Rashed, after meeting the head of the Iraqi delegation head to the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee Humam Hamoudi and his accompanying delegation.
Said Rashed after the meeting, which has been on the sidelines of a conference Parliamentary Union of the GCC Islamic that "Hamoudi said during the meeting that the former Iraqi regime had criminal acts toward people and toward Kuwait alike and that the parliaments of the two countries sisters big responsibility to restore relations between the two brotherly peoples."

"
For his part, the head of the Iraqi delegation said Hamoudi said that "the relationship Kuwait - Iraq has seen positive developments resulted in the end the pending issues between the two countries," and expressed hope that relations between the two countries brotherly further progress in the next phase.
