Threatened Kurdistan Alliance MP Farhad Atrushi, Thursday, that the Kurdistan oil to Turkey will be issued if Baghdad continues to impose political pressure and economic blockade in respect of petroleum products.

"

Atrushi stressed that "the Kurdistan Regional Government is required to provide oil derivatives to the citizens and we have no choice but one way, namely send crude oil to Turkey and replaced with oil derivatives such as kerosene and gasoline cars."

While assuring Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussain al-Shahristani, in (July 14 2012), that the consent of Turkey on the import of crude oil from Kurdistan would hurt economic relations between the two countries, stressing that the non-delivery of the region crude oil to the federal government caused a loss of Iraq eight billion and $ 500 million .
The origin of the ancient dispute renewed between the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, due to the oil contracts concluded by the region and which Baghdad deems illegal, while the region say they are based on the Iraqi constitution and the bilateral agreements signed with the federal government.
