Prepare for meetings with international experts to restructure banks

BAGHDAD / Bri Center for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - The parliamentary Finance Committee, to hold meetings with international experts next month, in order to develop laws and legislation to restructure the banks.



Said committee member Najiba Najib's (IMN) "The Finance Committee in connection with a conference with international experts during the month of March next on the structure of Iraqi banks," pointing out that "the conference consists of several axes axis legislation and laws that must initiate and adjust."



She explained that "the reality of the Iraqi banks and bitter reality we most need to promote this sector," indicating that "The more we can promote this fact enables us to promote a country's economy."



Najib indicated that "current banks are the backbone of the economy of the country and we have a government committee executive in the process of restructuring," noting that "we have a meeting and collaboration with stakeholders in the government in this regard."





Noteworthy that the banking system in Iraq consists of forty-three banks, as well as the Central Bank and distributed by property (7) government and banks (30) waged, including banks (7) Islamic banks, in addition to (6) of foreign banks.
