Legal Counsel revealed in the Council of Ministers Mohamed Fadel, that "there is a planned visit by Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to the country to discuss bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries, and the completion of talks on outstanding issues in a file Chapter VII." He explained that "most of the paragraphs of Chapter VII has been resolved leaving only a few points, which will hopefully end in the near future."

The Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations, has revealed to a meeting between Iraq and Kuwait to complete the talks out of Iraq from Chapter VII, and the demarcation of the border between the two countries.
