Trade Conference held fire policy papers for three economic laws

Baghdad (news) .. Iraq hold a 2020 conference launching policy papers for three economic laws, organized by the Ministry of Commerce.

The trade minister said Khairallah Babiker in a speech on his behalf Undersecretary Walid sweet at the conference which was attended by the Agency (news): that of the priorities and functions of the Ministry of Commerce put legislation scientific and professional that would promote the national economy of Iraq to take its leadership role and active among the economies of the world.

He added: that the approval of the draft economic policies on September 19 of last year, shares of reviewing three important economic laws is the law regulating trade and consumer protection law and the system of trade names and commercial registration.

For his part, member of the Committee of Economy and Investment parliamentary Abdul Abbas Xiaa, that the House of Representatives initiate laws but to Aitapaha, adding that he should be monitored after the legislation because there are laws began and remained a dead letter.

And stressed: that the Consumer Protection Act is not activated despite the approval of the House of Representatives because of the formation of the Consumer Protection Council so far and if formed would be a mechanism that implements this law.

For his part, Chairman of the Board of Trustees assembly to Anbure, said the draft revision of economic laws was sponsored by the thermoplastic committee of economy and investment parliamentary, where our commitment to be active participation of all stakeholders in this project because we believe that the policy papers do not represent / pool Iraq 2020 / but all stakeholders because it is in the interest of the advancement of the economic reality.

He said: The launch of this paper mentioned laws will make it easier to introduce amendments to the laws and regulations that have been adopted at this stage.

From her part, the Director of the Center for International legislation Muna Zalzala, Revision 3 achievement of important laws is one of the priorities of economic reform and investment promotion, because the Iraqi economy was severely damaged from previous laws and legislation.
