Baghdad (news) .. discussed the parliamentary Finance Committee, headed by MP Haider al-Abadi, with the Director General of Customs Munther Abdul Amir, the latest developments that have taken place on the possibility of the implementation of the customs tariff law.

A statement from the Commission received Agency (news) copy of it: that the meeting discussed the most important obstacles and problems that prevent the implementation of the law of customs tariff, and continued: After a long debate, which included a lot of questions and queries raised by the members of the committee is the most important: -

1 - What are the results of the report of the Committee headed by Director General of the Authority to discuss the possibility of the application or fragmented progress of the law?

2 - What is the timetable for the board to get to the full implementation and the real law?

3 - What is the role of the Authority in the deduction of the share of allocations approved border crossing points in the Code of Federal budget for the development of ports and border complexes?

The statement added: The Director of the Authority replied stating that no application of the law of customs tariff for technical reasons, administrative and should cooperate parties chock other such (Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Defence) with the Authority in its implementation, also stressed on the necessity of the request original documents certified importers and exporters through urged the concerned authorities to develop working methods and accuracy required to update the regulatory mechanisms granted import and export license.

The statement said: that at the conclusion of the meeting, said Abadi on, that the committee has a lot of observations and opinions on the law aforementioned which will recorded in the report of the Committee prepared on the law to be submitted to the House of Representatives in the near future as it was agreed to host representatives (Ministry of Commerce, the Committee Economic Affairs in the Council of Ministers, the Directorate of border crossings, and the Ministry of the Interior, and the participation of the Authority for Customs) in the headquarters of the Commission soon to discuss the law in question.
