"After almost a month now, and in the subsequent months, will be the direct fly to China, specifically to the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Quang, will also be flights to the Azerbaijani capital Baku, and to Georgia and the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, as well as the Romanian capital of Bucharest."

Nouri noted that "the conduct of these trips will be under agreements between the Iraqi government and the governments of those countries," and expressed hope that "the coming period would witness the conduct of flights by the airlines of these countries."

The Ministry of Transport has announced in the last week about the conduct of the first flight to Frankfurt Airport Germany via Iraqi Airways after a hiatus of 22 years, also landed last March the first plane belonging to Iraqi Airways at Gatwick Airport London on the first flight since the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.
