President of the Kurdistan region, Hakim agree on returning the political process in Iraq on track

Erbil, May 15 / May (PNA) - met with Massoud Barzani, president of Kurdistan region on the afternoon of Tuesday, 5/14/2013 in Salahuddin, Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Iraq, and the delegation accompanying him.

At the outset of the meeting, Ammar al-Hakim offered condolences to President Barzani, the death of his sister, then the two sides discussed the political situation in Iraq and relations of the federal government and the province of Kurdistan and the developments of the region.

In another aspect of the meeting was reviewed Council elections provinces in Iraq and its consequences, and in this context, head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Iraq: that the results of the provincial elections proved that the first thing that interested citizens is security, stability and services they are with dialogue and coexistence, participation and security, and reject all kinds of despotism .

For his part, welcomed the President of the Kurdistan region Bamar-Hakim, the delegation was briefed on his point of view about the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and federal Aljkumh.

And the results of provincial elections, he said: It demonstrated the high level of awareness of citizens they are able to take a decision on their fate.

The two sides have agreed to back the political process in Iraq back on track, taking into account the participation and balance and compatibility.

It is worth mentioning that Ammar al-Hakim and his accompanying delegation were received in Erbil International Airport by Barzani President of Kurdistan Regional Government and Imad Ahmed and Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein, President of the Office of the Presidency of the Kurdistan region.
