Iraq's ratification of Convention on Cluster Munitions

BAGHDAD / WAP / Foreign Ministry announced the ratification of the ratification of the Convention on the Prohibition of cluster munitions.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the news agency Baghdad International / WAP / copy of it on Tuesday that "the subject of research Convention will enter into force for Iraq as of 1 / November / 2013."
He added that "authentication Iraq agreement comes as part of efforts by Iraq to carry out its obligations to treaties and international conventions related to disarmament and support the position of Iraq to get rid of the negative effects of cluster munitions at the humanitarian, economic and social relations because of the wars of the former regime." / End 2
