[ltr]BAGHDAD (Iba) .. Left Iraq this afternoon Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah after a short visit to Baghdad that lasted several hours.[/ltr]


[ltr]Morning held at the headquarters of the prime minister in Baghdad this afternoon held talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki stressed during transmission of the relationship between Iraq and Kuwait to a new stage.[/ltr]


[ltr]A statement from Maliki's office said the talks began bilateral meeting between the two parties followed by a joint meeting in the presence of members of the Iraqi and Kuwaiti delegations.[/ltr]


[ltr]Maliki confirmed in a speech opened the session of the Joint Meeting starting a new phase in relations between the two neighboring brotherly countries, and said: We will not suffice beyond the crisis, but we open a new era of cooperation and the development of political and economic relations in the areas of investment, energy, transport and the environment.[/ltr]


[ltr]And called on businessmen and the Kuwaiti private sector to take advantage of the many investment opportunities available in Iraq, also called for a joint conference of businessmen from both countries to discuss opportunities for cooperation in this area.[/ltr]


[ltr]For his part, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah: We have been able to open a new stage in relations, Iraq - Kuwait passed through processing heavy legacy turn the page on the past to a wider relations in all fields.[/ltr]


[ltr]He announced Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah during the meeting that the State of Kuwait sent a letter to all members of the UN Security Council and to the United Nations for reporting on Iraq meet its obligations although Endowment of them can be treated in Section VI.[/ltr]

[ltr]From fraternal ties and distinguished relations between Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq and desiring to strengthen and develop bilateral relations and push for new horizons and seek them for further communication and coordination at all levels and at the kind invitation of the State of Nuri al-Maliki, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait on an official visit to the Republic of Iraq on Wednesday, 12 June / 2013, and in an atmosphere dominated the spirit of friendship and cooperation, which reflects the level of development in the bilateral relations between the two countries, the two sides held talks reviewed during the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of developed in various fields and expressed Artaahmanma of the progress achieved in the areas of concrete cooperation between the two countries and issues of common interest. [/ltr]

The two sides welcomed the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding included aspects of economic, commercial, cultural, environmental and diplomatic and transport, this was the price of officials in the government of the Republic of Iraq positive role and construction shown by the people and the Government of the State of Kuwait to help Iraq out of the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations after that Iraq has met all its obligations under Security Council resolutions relevant.
