Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, on Monday, the company "City Bank" to participate actively and effectively in the Iraqi market after the opening of an office in Baghdad, while the company confirmed its intention to participate in the development of Iraq and the advancement of its economy.

"

Maliki confirmed, according to the statement, that "Iraq plans to double its production of oil, gas and do a comprehensive reform of the economy so as to enhance its resources and makes it more versatile," noting that increased resources will be reflected in other economic sectors in agriculture, industry, tourism, services and others. "

For his part, the president of the company said that "We are determined to be partners in the development of Iraq and سنساعده in the advancement of its economy," he said, adding that "there are many international companies willing to invest in Iraq, and we will be supportive of her."

The Avlanery pointed out that "the opening of the company's branch in Baghdad would be a prelude to open a branch shall be managed by the banking activities in Iraq."

Iraq is seeking to attract international companies to invest in the industrial and commercial sectors, banking and others, but was having difficulty because of the failure of most companies to work there as a result of the deterioration of the conditions of security and fear of those companies on their staff from exposure to insurgent attacks. [/ltr]
