Maliki is accompanied by a delegation of a number of ministers and advisers, and will hold talks with Russian officials on bilateral relations and the Syrian crisis.

MP, of the State of Law coalition, Mufeed al-Baladawi said that the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Moscow aims to activate previous agreements, including the security side, in addition to discuss regional developments, especially the Syrian crisis.

He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "al-Maliki's visit comes in a timely manner, especially after removing Iraq from Chapter VII, which will open new horizons of international relations based on mutual respect."

He explained, "The visit gives reassuring message to all that the new Iraq is heading to build advanced relations with all countries in the world based on common interests and non-interference in internal affairs."

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki headed to Moscow this morning 30, June at the head of a delegation on a visit to Russia.

An informed source told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / Maliki, who is accompanied by a delegation of a number of ministers and advisers, will hold talks with Russian officials on bilateral relations and the Syrian crisis. / End
