Baghdad (news) .. Called on the Vice-Chairman of the Finance Committee MP / coalition of Kurdish blocs / Ahmed iceberg God, the need to strengthen the role of financial control over the work of private banks to reduce the phenomenon of money laundering and currency smuggling.
Faizullah said (of the Agency news): The breadth of the phenomenon of money laundering in the country due to the absence of effective control by financial institutions on the work of Iraqi banks, especially civil, making their work outside the control of the central bank and financial control.
He added: must strengthen the role of the FSA and the central bank in monitoring the work of private banks and control the amount of money that turning to the outside in order to prevent money laundering and the smuggling of hard currency, calling to force all banks applying controls the law against money laundering.
