See specialists that the establishment of a special body monitors the work of government and private banks will contribute to the advancement of the banking sector and help to develop their work .
Comes at a time it intends to finance committee parliamentary status integrated study on the mechanism for the development of a supreme body independent of the control of the banking business.
Banking expert and executive director of the Association of Banks Private in Iraq, Abdul Aziz Hassoun was considered that the establishment of a supreme body to monitor the work of banks contributing to its development.
Goldfinch Male (morning) that in the past year has been established High Commission for the reform of banks , as it was founded according to the World Bank's program to restructure state banks ( Rafidain and Rasheed ) , was formed by a committee manages this body , and is composed of the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank and Chairman of the FSA .
said the expert : he « in the event was set up a supreme body overseeing the development of the public sector banks and private , must be Directors of the Authority equally between banks governmental and private in order to be understanding of the work program , and put development plans that benefit both sides , especially as the number of private banks at the present time of about 40 banks » .
Committee will hold parliamentary Finance in 22 of the current month and a workshop with representatives from the public sector banks and private sector to discuss and examine the the idea of establishing an independent body to monitor the banking work in isolation from any other interventions .
