Decision of the House of Representatives: the political blocs have not agreed on the text of the election law

Baghdad (news) .. Announced the decision of the House of Representatives Muhammad Al-Khalidi, the failure of the political blocs to an agreement on the election law so far.
He said al-Khalidi in a press conference attended by the Agency (news): that the Presidency of the Council of Representatives held a meeting with leaders of parliamentary blocs in the Legal Committee to discuss five important laws in dispute, the first of the Law of the Federation Council, which was agreed on display in the Council's agenda next week.
He added: Acts II and III are parties law and contract law treaties, and Legal Committee approved the bills next week after it has been agreed upon.
He explained: We have agreed on the inclusion of the law by three infrastructure sectors are education, health and housing, as agreed between the political blocs to contract with consulting firms before contracting with major corporate executive.
He pointed out: to the election law did not reach the leaders of the political blocs on the agreement for approval within the period prescribed the end of this month, indicating that in case it is not the leaders of blocs reached an agreement by this date, you will be back to the old election law, because the time is not enough.
Khalidi said: the political blocs that commissioned the Council of Representatives Speaker Osama Najafi dialogue with the first line of political leaders to reach a final version of the law approving the deadline.

Headed by Mr. Osama Najafi, head of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, 22.10.2013 morning in the hall constitutional meeting of the heads and representatives of parliamentary blocs, in the presence of Mr. Qusay al-Suhail and Mr. Aref Tayfur Vice-President of the Council. The meeting was devoted to discussion of the proposed Law of the Federation Council and the draft law of treaties and the draft contract law reconstruction of infrastructure and service sectors and the proposed law on the election of the House of Representatives.
He congratulated Mr. President of the Council at the beginning of the meeting, ladies and gentlemen members on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing that back to them and to the Iraqi people, good and peace.
He referred to the time remaining life of the current parliament will be devoted to vote on a number of important laws, hoping to reach an agreement to resolve outstanding differences on them. Stressing that the Council will resort to the law of elections, former House of Representatives in the event of failure to reach agreement on the proposal of the current law .
It was decided during the meeting, the Law of the Federation Council for a vote next week.
It was also decided to form a committee comprising representatives of parliamentary blocs to discuss the amendment of the law of the House of Representatives election and to reach a final version of the law within the specified time voted by the House of Representatives later this month.
