Zebari reveals U.S. arming Iraq promised to fight "terrorism"

[ltr]Twilight News / confirmed Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said the United States and the Iraqi government promised to provide weapons and military equipment to enable Iraq to confront "terrorism."


Zebari said in an interview with Asharq al-Awsat seen by "Twilight News", that "the results of our recent visit to Washington was positive, and the U.S. side promised to provide weapons and equipment and materiel to combat terrorism and to increase and deepen security cooperation, and also to provide what Iraq needs of weapons and equipment in the future" .


However, Zebari said, "there is specific requests, has responded by Washington as a result of the risk of permanent and common to al-Qaeda and its associated organizations."
