Baghdad (news) .. Commission asked for the economy and investment representative, the federal government in coordination with the Central Bank to reform the banking sector job two branches of government and private, for the purpose of development and promotion.

He said the Commission's decision Mahma Khalil (of the Agency news): He can not be a country like Iraq has a budget large and tremendous natural resources does not have banking sector advanced, noting that the Iraqi banking sector still lags behind developments in international banks as a result of political systems earlier that left the economy and busy wars which led to the destruction of the infrastructure of the country.

He added that the Iraqi government claim in coordination with the Central Bank of Iraq to form a joint committee is working on reforms of the banking sector to the work of two branches of government and private bodies, and the use of the International Advisory and countries that preceded Iraq in this field in order to develop the banking sector.

It is noted that the banking system in Iraq consists of three Erbainmsrva as well as the Central Bank and distributed by the property between (7) state banks and 30 bank my family, including (7) Islamic banks in addition to (6) of foreign banks.
