The volume of deposits of private banks and government to 70 trillion dinars .

The executive director of the Association of private banks Abdul Aziz Hassoun (morning) : The volume of deposits in government and private banks reached 70 trillion dinars , indicating that these deposits are divided by 40 Trliuna deposits State in State-owned banks and 30 Trliuna private sector deposits in banks government and private .

For its part , called a member of the administrative board of the Association of economists Akram Abdel Aziz in her speech (morning) to the need to reconsider these deposits through lending to investors in order to contribute to the completion of projects that include various economic sectors , so they are not frozen funds .

She pointed out that the successes of the developed world in the field of investment and development based on the private banking sector , which requires reconsidering legislation and laws that facilitate the procedures of the banks with the establishment of a development bank is managed by the private sector.

The banking system in Iraq consists of 54 banks , including seven state banks and commercial banks, there are 23 special , 9 of which Islamic banks . There are also 15 branches of foreign banks .
