Announced the decision of the House of Representatives Muhammad Al-Khalidi, Saturday, that the new parliament will hold its first session on the first day of the month of July, while not expected to prolong the formation of the next government.

Khalidi said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", that "there is no intention at this time to prolong the formation of the next federal government, because the Federal Supreme Court decided, however, that the first meeting of the Council of Representatives will be held on the first of July next year."

Khalidi added that "everyone today is designed to change and find a way out of the current political reality," stressing "the need to have a comprehensive change in all aspects of the state."

The election commission announced (19 May 2014), the results of the parliamentary elections, where he received a coalition of state law on 95 seats, and came in second place menus bra with 32 seats and then a coalition of citizen 29 seats and after the coalition united with 23 seats, also came a coalition of national led by Iyad Allawi, in fifth place with 21 seats, while he finished sixth Kurdistan Democratic Party 19 seats shared with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) center with 19 seats also.
