Russia: Terror in the Middle East at the table of the Security Council soon

BAGHDAD - Iraq Press - June 13: revealed Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, said Russia intends to organize a meeting of the Security Council next week to discuss the issue of terrorism in the Middle East, noting that the participants in the meeting of the Security Council, on Thursday, asked the issue of potential regional consequences of recent developments in Iraq.


Churkin was quoted as saying, "After the Security Council meeting on the situation in Iraq, it is clear that the war against terrorism is not over and that the terrorists also do not agree that the war is over what galvanized active and a threat."


He pointed out that "Russia has proposed a meeting with the participation of representatives from the United Nations Secretariat to discuss the issue of terrorism in the Middle East region more broadly," noting that "the meeting may be held within the next week."
