MP for the Kurdistan Alliance Ribawar Taha, Sunday, that the National Alliance has no objection to the application of Article 140 during the current parliamentary session, stressing that the dialogues between the two parties regarding the positive formation of the government.
Taha said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "Article 140 of Kirkuk and disputed areas of the first demands of the Kurds, which has provided the core of the National Alliance," pointing out that "the coalition has no objection to the application of Article."
Taha said "the ongoing consultations between the National Alliance and Alcardsana to form a government characterized as positive," noting that "the meetings are still going on in this regard, and there are also positive signs for the application of Article 140."
The Kurdistan Alliance, Monday (18 August 2014), that his participation in the next government, subject to their agreement to the conditions and basic constitutional, while a student dues, regardless of the Kurdistan region and the application of Article 140 of the Constitution and resolve disputes relating to oil and gas.
It is noteworthy that Article 140 of the Constitution provides for the normalization of the situation in the province of Kirkuk and disputed areas in other provinces such as Nineveh and Diyala, and set time period expired on December 31, 2007, for the implementation of all provisions in the above-mentioned article of the proceedings, as given to the people of those areas, freedom of self-determination both survival and independent administrative unit or attached to the Kurdistan Region by organizing a referendum.
