A parliamentary source said on Thursday that House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, decided to postpone the vote on the remaining ministries to future meetings.

The source said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri decided, this morning, to postpone the vote on the remaining ministries to future meetings until they get consensus between the political blocs."

The source, who asked not to be named, said that "al-Jubouri, attributed the decision to request the postponement of the political blocs."

Affirmed the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Aram Sheikh Mohammed, on Thursday, that the selection of candidates for the ministries of interior and defense needs time, while stressing the need for a consensus between the political blocs to nominate suitable figures to enable the Council to move out during future meetings.

Mohammed said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", that "there are a number of candidates to fill the posts of defense and interior," pointing out that "the selection of candidates takes time."

He stressed the importance of Mohammed "is a consensus between the political blocs to nominate suitable figures for the two positions, in order to then go through their future meetings."

The head of the House of Representatives decided Saleem al-Jubouri, earlier today (September 18, 2014), to postpone the vote on the remaining ministries to future meetings, as pointed out that the postponement decision came at the request of the political blocs.
