The Presidency of the Council of Representatives meets with heads of blocs and members of the committees to discuss the work of the Board during the next phase

Met the Presidency of the Council of Representatives, headed by Mr. Saleem al-Jubouri, Chairman of the Board and the presence of Sheikh Hamoudi, First Deputy Chairman of the Board and Mr. Iaram Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President of the Council, on Sunday 21 -9-2014, heads of blocs, ladies and gentlemen, members of parliamentary committees to discuss the work of the Board during the next phase.

He said Mr. al-Jubouri at the outset of the meeting, which was held in the hall Constitutional Council, the importance of the role of the committees in the legislative work, and called for speeding up the resolution of the presidencies of the parliamentary committees to direct its work and temporary committees reports on the issues assigned to it, especially the massacre of Spyker and the financial budget and displaced people, urging the need for House of Representatives be productive in terms of issuing laws that concern to citizens.

The conferees discussed the timings of time for the work of the Council during the coming period as well as the position of the Council of Representatives of Iraq's interest in and support him to confront the issue of terrorism, in addition to the election of the heads of the committees and laws that will be legislation by the Council and the IDP crisis.

The meeting decided to continue to hold meetings of the Council to the next Thursday 25/9 to be resumed after the holiday of Eid al-Adha to give an opportunity for the ladies and gentlemen of Representatives to resolve the issue of the chairmanships of committees and provide detailed reports on the situation of the displaced and the follow-up needs.

The conferees discussed the position of the international support for Iraq in the face of terrorism, as stressed by Mr. Saleem al-Jubouri, head of the Council on the importance of investment in international interest in what is happening in the country in a positive way provided that no prejudice to national sovereignty.

For his part, Sheikh Hamoudi, first deputy chairman of the Council on the organization Daash united the Iraqis to confront terrorism and stand as one to face the risks, praising the crowd popular being the important decision came to confront the real danger, calling for the protection of the country's independence and sovereignty in any position of the international coalition against terrorism.

For his part, pointed out Mr. Iaram Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President of the Council to the need for international assistance to support the country in the face of terrorism, with the importance of determining how to receive support and a way to help, alluding to the need to inform the House of Representatives on what is happening as being responsible for the agreements to cooperate with the United States or other countries in addition to the the importance of initiating the construction of a new experience beyond the results of previous political experience.



Then it was agreed that include hearing tomorrow paragraph to issue a statement represents the position of the House of Representatives about the issue of international support with orientation later for a hearing in the Foreign Relations Committee in conjunction with the security and defense committee and Bhoudormmthel from the government and submit a report to the Council in this matter.

On the other meeting stressed the need to speed up the resolution of the presidencies of the parliamentary committees without any delay in order to activate its legislative and oversight with the importance of follow flexibility in the matter of the election of their chairs, as well as the agreement on direct a committee headed by first deputy chairman of the Council to develop a mechanism to deal with the bills in the Council for presentation at future meetings.

And put forward several ideas during the meeting to address the situation of displaced people in Karbala and Najaf in order to provide better services to them as expressed Deputy Speaker Sheikh Mohammed Iaram ready parliamentary committee for this file to receive proposals that contribute to addressing the difficult conditions of the displaced.
