Oil will issue four million barrels per day next year

Oil Ministry predicted high energy export to four million barrels per day over the next year with the entry of a fifth floating platform to load and export oil to serve in Basra, in addition to the completion of a number of projects supporting infrastructure for the oil fields.

He said ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said in an interview with Radio Free Iraq that the opening of five floating platforms in Basra offset the shortfall of exports from the country's north after being dominated by militants to organize the Islamic State "Daash" on a number of oil pipeline in those areas.

To the male member of the Oil and Energy Committee in the House of Representatives Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulum that undertaken by the Ministry of development plans in the oil fields supports its desire to raise the production capacity to new levels, stressing the need to expand the storage capacity and infrastructure development near the southern oil fields.

However, the economic expert Abdul Rahman al-Mashhadani ruled that Iraq can increase production capacity to four million barrels per day, unless they are ridding the oil pipeline in northern Iraq, from the control of the organization "Daash" by resolving the dispute with the Kurdistan region on the export of oil.

The Ministry of Oil opened four platforms to load and export oil, and entered service in the oil port of Basra six months ago, saying that the platform fifth will enter service beginning in 2015, becoming the rate of oil export to four million barrels per day, two million barrels of which come from oil fields in Basra at the moment .
