For his part, David Cohen explained, who is leading the US Treasury Department's efforts to undermine the financial situation of the organization Daash, that "extremists have access to several millions of dollars a month by the donors, the wealthy, and the result of extortion and other criminal activities committed by, such as looting bank operations."

He pointed out that "this year, the organization received no ransom worth less than $ 20 million from the abductions" .
