Parliamentary Oil: The government will pay to the oil companies $ 21 billion in debt cumulative

Tomorrow Press / Baghdad: revealed Parliamentary Committee on Oil and Energy, Sunday, that the international oil companies dues payable by the government for this year amounted to $ 21 billion, noting that the Iraqi government and the companies have agreed on a specific mechanism for the payment of the cumulative debt.
Said committee member Zahir al-Abadi for "tomorrow Press" that "the Oil and Energy Committee discussed a few days before the issue of the debt of the world's oil companies with oil ministry undersecretary Fayyad grace and Mehdi al-Amidi, director of the Department contracts in the ministry in order to survey the benefits of global companies in licensing rounds."
He said the "government has recently approved the sale of treasury bonds worth $ 12 billion to pay off the debts of companies as well as the amounts which are included within the budget and Iqit $ 9 billion to become debt these companies $ 21 billion."
He explained that "the amount of 21 billion dollars is debt accumulated in previous years payable during the year by the Iraqi government for these companies," noting that "the Iraqi government and the agreed companies on a specific mechanism for the payment of the cumulative debt, taking into account the economic conditions experienced by Iraq."
