Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi met in New York, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
A statement by the Office of the Abadi received / balances News / copy of it, that "During the meeting, they discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the region, and preparations for the battle of Mosul and the conditions of the displaced and international support for Iraq."
And Ban Ki-moon expressed "UN support for Iraq and for the government in its fight against terrorism and its readiness to help stabilize the political situation as well as increased support in the humanitarian sphere and the issue of displaced persons."
