Cabinet determines the next September 16 as the date to hold provincial elections

BAGHDAD / .., the Iraqi cabinet decided on Tuesday to determine the sixteenth of the month of September next date for provincial elections.
He said Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, during a press conference at the Government Palace in the Green Zone, "The Council of Ministers decided at its regular meeting held today, identifying the sixteenth of the month of September of this year as the date to hold the special provincial council elections across the country."
He called Al-Abbadi, "blocs and political parties to conduct a comprehensive political reform in the public system."
The Iraqi cabinet voted, in the (4 December 2016), the draft provincial and district council elections law after making adjustments to it.
