The UN Security Council held at the United Nations, on Thursday evening, a session dealing with the situation in Iraq.

According to a statement of the hybrid mission in Iraq [UNAMI], that the meeting 'will be held at ten o'clock in the morning New York time [six pm Baghdad time'.

The statement pointed out, he 'expected that the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubis, gave a briefing shortly after the start of the meeting, about the developments in Iraq and the mission [UNAMI]'.
