World Bank confirms Abadi to help Iraq in its financial crisis

The World Bank delegation on Monday reiterated its support for Iraq in its financial crisis as a result of lower oil prices.
A statement from the Prime Minister's Office said Abadi "received at his residence in Washington on Monday the delegation of the World Bank, and the delegation confirmed its support for Iraq in its financial crisis and help Iraq to create jobs and train and develop human potential."
"We do not want to link Iraq to long-term loans, but to create jobs and develop our capabilities in many areas to serve the country and our citizens," Abbadi said.
The prime minister arrived in Washington at the official invitation of US President Donald Trump and is scheduled to meet with Trump, including the US Vice President, US Secretary of State and the US House of Representatives, as well as meetings with members of Congress and the Senate. To enhance cooperation between the two countries in security, military, economic and other fields.

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Monday that his government does not want to link Iraq with long-term loans, pointing out that it seeks to create jobs and develop the country's capabilities in many fields. A World Bank delegation expressed its readiness to help Iraq in its financial crisis.
