{Baghdad: Euphrates News} the presidency of the parliament decided to set next Thursday as the date to vote on the ninth member of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Commission for Elections.
A parliamentary source said earlier in the House of Representatives for the Euphrates News Agency {} on Tuesday that "the Presidency of the Council of Representatives decided today in the regular session of parliament determine next Thursday as the date to vote on the ninth member of the new electoral commission."
The House of Representatives voted to choose the majority of eight members of the new Board of Commissioners, but the vote was postponed on the ninth member as a result of the existence of differences between the components of minorities holds the remaining seat. Ended.

Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq Martin Kobler official
appointment of eight members of the Board of Commissioners of the
Electoral Commission for elections.
Said
Kuebler in a statement to Information Office of the United Nations
received and Euphrates News Agency {} copy Tuesday, "I welcome this
appointment, which will pave the way now before the provincial elections
early in 2013," adding that "the United Nations will remain committed
to supporting the Commission and the Council of commissioners New in the
preparation and conduct of the elections. "
And
called on parliament to "complete the process of selecting the last
Commissioner and agents as soon as possible," and expressed "regret at
the absence of women's representation in the Council and Parliament
encouraged to take proactive action to involve women in all levels of
public life."
