He pointed out that "the base inflation index fell by (2.0%) for the month of March and rose annually by (0.3%) compared to April 2017, while the annual inflation rate in April 2018 to {1.3%} compared to April 2017 The index reached 105.1%, "noting that" the process of collecting prices for April 2018 did not include the province of Nineveh and did not calculate a record in the month because of the prevailing conditions. "

"The food and non-alcoholic beverages sector increased by 0.5%, contributing 2042.9% to the monthly change rate," he said. "The changes are due to a 1.6% increase in the fish population, a 1.7% And the increase in the group of other food products by (0.1%), "noting that" the tobacco division recorded a decrease of 0.2%, contributing 14.3% "He said.

"The clothing and shoes section increased by 0.2% to 171.4% in the month-on-month change, due to the rise in the clothing index by 0.2%," he said. %) Contributing 2442.9% to the rate of monthly change. This decline is due to the drop in the rent group by 0.7%, the housing maintenance and maintenance group by 0.9% and the water and electricity supply group by 0.6%.

Regarding the annual inflation index, the Ministry of Planning said that "the food and non-alcoholic beverages sector decreased by (4.1%) to 89.4% in the annual rate of change.

"The Housing Department recorded a decline of 1.6%, contributing 32.8% to the annual rate of change due to lower rental prices by 2.6% and maintenance and housing services by 2.9%," he said.
