Prime Minister Haider Abadi, on Thursday, called on the political blocs to hold a high-level meeting immediately after the Eid holiday, as well as holding what he described as "responsible meetings" to agree on the program of state administration in all its institutions.

"We again face as Iraqis the challenge of preserving this country and the safety and security of its people and we are confident in passing this stage as long as we stick to our unity and to give priority to the supreme interests of the private or class interests," Abadi said in a statement received by Alsumaria News. He continued, "From this national perspective, I call for responsible meetings to agree on the future program of the State Administration with all its institutions and authorities in the light of the Constitution and the law, and that the program is aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of our citizens to live in dignity and protect the state and society and establish strong foundations for peaceful coexistence and civil peace. Fight corruption and eliminate it and get rid of narrow sectarian quotas. "
