Iraq's central bank denied Sunday that it had not traded $ 100 for previous editions before 2006.

The Director General of the Department of Financial Operations and Public Debt Management Mahmoud Mohammad Dagher said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the Central Bank deals with all categories of the dollar and all previous editions even before 2006," denying "rumors of non-circulation of $ 100 for the pre-2006 "He said.

Dagher added that "the bank does not have a definition of any category or edition of the dollar unless it is forged," noting that "the lack of circulation by some of the citizens and banking offices back to the Iraqi market and the bank has nothing to do with it."


Dagher pointed out that "all neighboring countries of the Turkish and Jordanian markets are dealing in dollars without the expense of categories or editions of the Iraqi market."

Some of the banking offices refuse to buy or deal with the $ 100 category of previous editions before 2006, in addition to not dealing with a category of one dollar.
