The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs confirmed that an American organization has expressed its readiness to carry out several activities with the ministry and provide technical support, especially in the field of training and business incubators, and provide advice in the field of skills development and social welfare.
The Minister of Labor, Mohamed Shi'a al-Sudani, said in a statement to Al-Sabah: "His ministry has training programs aimed at job seekers, including women. It has established a center for business incubators in cooperation with the Norwegian organization.
He added that USAID has expressed its readiness to cooperate in the implementation of several activities with the Ministry and provide technical support, especially in the field of training and incubators, and to provide any other consultation in the field of skills development or social welfare and other activities.
Al-Sudani pointed to the existence of oil licensing companies and others working in different economic sectors and individual, which stressed the need for skilled workers, which requires focusing on training, especially for job seekers who want to establish their own projects, through enabling them by granting them soft loans.
He added that the ministry has other activities that contribute to the support and assistance of women, the most important monthly cash benefits for widows and divorced women as well as opportunities for training through the vocational training centers spread in the provinces, as well as the inclusion of women in the loan program, pointing to the implementation of another program related to psychological support for women, Who have been subjected to terrorist violations "urged". The Minister of Labor stated that women, because of the circumstances of the war, had a great responsibility in the management of the family and needed to provide the necessary support for them, stressing that the ministry is interested in any activity to support women and develop their skills and ready to implement any new project serves this segment and contributes to improving their living conditions.
He stressed the adoption by the government of measures related to the law of protection of companies or investment in order to turn losing companies into profitable through contracting with private sector companies, pointing out the existence of a committee in the Council of Ministers headed by the Minister of Industry and membership of several ministries, which recommended to convert ten companies to invest or put it As joint stock companies.
