UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's death

The President of the Republic, Fouad Maassoum, thanked UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterich for the passing of former Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
According to a presidential statement received by the "morning" that infallible "sent a cable of condolences to the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterich, in which he expressed his condolences warmly on the death of former Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan."
"We deeply regret the death of the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Kofi Annan, and as we extend our deepest condolences to you for this sad departure and express to you, to the United Nations Organization, to the family and the families of the deceased and to his country, Ghana, our deep condolences. As a senior UN official and diplomatic diplomat devoted a long period of his life to serve the causes of peace and encourage negotiations and understanding to resolve regional and international conflicts, as well as his constant efforts to promote constructive cooperation between countries and peoples and support development programs and fight poverty and underdevelopment in the world.
