Parliamentary movement to legislate a law abolishing the Strategic Framework Agreement

MP Raed al-Mukusi, a coalition of lawmakers, revealed Wednesday that legislation in the House of Representatives will soon be passed, including the removal of foreign forces from the country and the cancellation of the strategic framework agreement with the United States.

In a press statement, al-Mukassousi said that "a large number of deputies submitted requests with parliamentary signatures to include a draft law to remove foreign forces from the country on the agenda of the Council," asserting that his alliance "the first demands to remove the coalition forces supported by the United States of America from the country."

He added that "the Alliance and other political forces submitted to the Presidency of the House of Representatives a request to expedite the submission of a bill to remove foreign forces and put on the agenda."

He pointed out that "among the paragraphs that we call for the abolition of the strategic framework agreement as well as arming and training with the American side."
