Samson: Abdul Mahdi's "special" arrangements with Barzani give the Kurds a proportion of more than 20% of the budget .. And MPs stand up
26th January, 2019
The deputy governor of Nineveh province Abdul Rahim al-Shammari said on Saturday that the province of Kurdistan has received a budget of 2019 ten times the previous budgets, while noting that the share of the region currently will reach ten trillion dinars, excluding loans and grants, The ministers to compliment the Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani by virtue of special relations and secret agreements and grant the province more than the entitlement at the expense of the rights of Iraqis in other regions.
Al-Shammari said that "Nineveh province has not been balanced by the budget, and we were aspiring to develop allocations commensurate with the magnitude of suffering and destruction," noting that "the Kurdistan region got more than the share obtained in previous years, whether in 2006 or 2007 or later."
Al-Shammari added that "the region also granted a share within the development of regions according to population ratios, which means the inclusion of quotas that will be distributed from the allocations of development of regions in the budget in addition to the proportion of the region," pointing out that "the other is the coverage of the region grants, loans and grants, And the Peshmerga forces within the balance of security and defense. "
Shammari said that "the budget talked about the export of the region a certain percentage of oil per day and in case of non-compliance with the export rate is deducted a certain percentage of the specified rate of 12.68 and they know well that the region will not adhere," pointing out that "the share of the region now will reach ten Trillion dinars, excluding loans and grants at a time that their natural share is one billion dollars worth a trillion dinars, which means that the region today received ten times the budget compared to previous years.
The deputy for the wisdom bloc Ali al-Badiri confirmed, Thursday, January 24, 2019, that the Kurdistan region "got more than its rights" in the financial budget for 2019, noting that the share of the province of the budget amounted to more than 20%. Iraqi 2019 budget built on “expectations”
Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: The Iraqi parliament endorsed on Thursday last the Iraqi national budget of
this year after a hectic labor that stirred great number of comments among economists, as well as the previous (Ibadi) and current (Mehdi) governments.
All the time past to endorse the budget concentrated on the amounts to be allocated to provinces and projects.
Economists said that all these disputes were far away from the needs of the public, but concentrated on political and party interests that may not be very clear to the public.
The politicians and some parts of the people hailed this “great achievement”, but the real details were hidden within the clauses of the budget.
Iraqi economic and political observers believe that the hidden points in the budget will lead to “failure” in future for an economy that completely depends on oil exports.
Through reading the budget, it was endorsed on expectations to export 3.88 million b/d, with an increase from last year’s figures which reached to 3.8 million b/d, with a price of 56 dollars per barrel, in comparison of 46 dollars in 2018 budget.
The budget of 112 billion dollars included payment of the salaries of the Kurdish Peshmarga forces in Kurdistan, which was regarded, by MPs, as a move to ease tensions between Baghdad and Arbil.
The expectred oil exports included 250.000 b/d from the Kurdish region, following the resumption of Kirkuk’s oil exports last November, 2018, after a stoppage that lasted for one year.
Southern Basra oil exports forms 95% of the revenues of the country.

Iggy: A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She walked around to look at the artwork. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, “I’m drawing a picture of God.”
The teacher paused and said, “But no one knows what God looks like.
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing the girl replied, “They will in a minute.”

The US House of Representatives and Senate approved a bill to end the partial closure of the government by providing temporary funding to federal agencies but refused to grant President Donald Trump the amount he had requested to finance a $ 5.7 billion barrier on the US-Mexico border
Funding for a series of federal agencies was unanimously approved until Feb. 15 and Congress and Trump were given three weeks to negotiate a border security agreement
Trump is expected to sign the bill into law immediately LINK
Don961: The earth's magnetic field suddenly moved
Friday 25 January 2019
Hanna Osborne
Translation: Anis Saffar
The Earth's magnetic pole moves faster than expected, causing puzzling scientists to track its motion. Our earth planet is surrounded by a magnetic field believed to be the source of electric currents generated in the center of the earth, which consists of a solid ball of iron surrounded by liquid minerals.
This magnetic field is one of the reasons for the prosperity of life on earth because it expels the solar wind and thus protects us from harmful radiation. The Earth's magnetic field is constantly changing. Its northern pole is currently above Canada but is slowly creeping towards Siberia.
But in the first years after 2000, NASA announced that its speed had increased by about 40 kilometers a year.
Changes in the location of the Earth's magnetic pole are tracked by the so-called "magnetic model of the world" and are widely used by the US Department of Defense and many civil navigation systems as well, and are subject to regular review due to the constant changes referred to.
The latest version of the model was released in 2014 and was supposed to maintain its accuracy until 2020, but the reviewers were forced to review it in September after user data showed that the version was no longer operating accurately in the polar region.
Today, the model will have to be modified again, and a conference will be held to study this situation on January 30. Aranud Schulayat, a professor of geomagneticism at the University of Colorado Boulder, says the rate of deviation continues to increase, leaving scientists puzzled and questioning experts about what is going on.
A geomagnetic pulse that took place under South America in 2016 caused the magnetic field to move in an unpredictable movement that was magnified by the magnetic north pole, according to Nature magazine. Professor Schulat says the pole's move quickly exposes the region to large deviations.
Scientists are now trying to explain why the magnetic field moved so quickly by probing geomagnetic impulses such as those in 2016 that they thought were caused by "hydro- magnetic" waves emanating from the Earth's center.
