Justice announces the transfer of 90 employees to the Integrity and Justice Commission and the preservation of more than (61) billion dinars of state funds


The Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Justice issued its annual report for 2018, and included the transfer of 90 employees to the Integrity and Justice Commission and the preservation of more than (61) billion dinars of state funds.

The Inspector General of the Ministry of Justice Karim al-Ghazi, according to a statement of the Ministry of Justice: The value of public funds maintained by one and sixty billion and more than one hundred and sixty-six million dinars, indicating that the total amount represents the recovery of more than two hundred and six million dinars to the state treasury, In the fund or delay penalties on the catering companies, in addition to the amount of / 60 / billion and more than nine hundred and fifty-nine million dinars, and represents the recommended funds to recover from the recommended real estate owners to cancel their restrictions to be returned to the state, Real estate as collateral for those loans.

Al-Ghazi added that the number of inspection visits amounted to (177) visits, 56 transactions were monitored, 397 violations were observed, and 20 transactions were reviewed, 24 violations and observations were noted. An audit (56) administrative treatment was observed (452) violation and observation on those transactions.

Regarding the follow-up to the disclosure of financial disclosure, the Inspector-General said: (11) of those covered by the disclosure of their receivables have been disclosed from the total (18) covered. Al-Ghazi said: "During the year 2018, the investigations and recommendations were approved by 100%. The office referred 82 employees to the Integrity Commission and 8 employees to the judiciary and disciplinary sanctions were issued against 90 employees.

The Inspector-General confirmed that 762 investigations had been completed, 292 of which were round-ended in previous years. The number of complaints and communications received by the Office reached (805) completed, 511 indicating that the Office operated according to the financial and human resources available to it . The number of its employees is 113 compared to 31,000 employees in the Ministry of Justice, divided into (495) public and administrative departments and a reform department in all governorates of Iraq.
