"The offices of the public inspectors were established under Decree No. 57 of 2004 as one of the supervisory bodies in the fight against corruption," he said, adding that "the Anti-Corruption Council has prepared a clear policy.
"It is necessary to give the offices of public inspectors the opportunity to reduce the phenomenon of corruption," he stressed, noting that "corruption is more dangerous than a preacher as an enemy and an internal problem that ruins state institutions from within."
He pointed out that "there are many parliamentary legislation is still controversial and some of them are conflicting between them, and there is a real reality in Iraq leads to corruption, including the adoption of circulation of paper currency in transactions and we move to electronic currency in order to reduce the opportunity to the spoilers."
"The prosecutor often turns a defendant and a witness into an accused. The citizen must be a key partner in the fight against corruption, which is an important part of the Integrity Commission's program," the prime minister said.
He revealed that "the Ministry of Planning has provided more than 9 thousand projects stalled since 2004 worth more than 300 billion dollars, and there are 32 projects in the Investment Authority lagging because of not signing the land contract and because of the transgressors."
"More than 274 projects worth $ 12 billion are languishing in the provinces because of rampant corruption," he said
