16th August, 2022The Director General of Trade in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq announced on Tuesday that all facilities will be provided to traders to increase trade movement in the Kurdistan Region.
And Nawzad Sheikh Kamel said in a statement received by Shafak News Agency, that from now all traders will be able to obtain their business licenses directly from their governorates without returning to the Ministry or the General Directorate of Trade. He added that "the merchants are no longer obliged to return to Erbil, and all their transactions will be completed in their governorates, and thus the commercial movement has increased." Sheikh Kamel also indicated that from now on, the commercial routine in the Kurdistan Region will be reduced, and we are working to reduce it further to increase commercial traffic. Of course, about 2,000 commercial deals have been implemented this year.
The Director General of Commerce stated that, in the meantime, taxes on a number of other goods have been raised in recent weeks, causing the prices of some goods and supplies to fall. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced that it will, in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce, provide facilities to the industrial sector in terms of taxes and fees.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, a joint meeting was held with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Director General of Customs to discuss the conditions of factories and their problems in terms of taxes and fees. According to the statement, the meeting discussed the problems of factories in the Kurdistan Region in terms of taxes and fees, which created obstacles to their work, and decided to form a joint committee to follow up on its solution by the committee to be formed.
