Moussawi said (of the Agency news): Iraq needs to a convergence of (15) in to be eligible to join the World Trade Organization, the fact that the infrastructure of the country is still not prepared, as well as a significant increase in the cost of domestic production of goods and materials scarcity of raw materials entering in the domestic industry, in addition to weak competition with local products foreign.

He added: You must hold an expanded economic conference includes a selection of experts and specialists in the economic field to discuss how Iraq's accession to the World Trade Organization and gains through the development of international mechanisms and plans for the advancement of economic sectors and creating sustainable development in the country.

He pointed out: that global trade competition and recognize Iraq today lacks domestic goods that can compete with foreign goods, as a result of the cessation of the treatment of industrial and deteriorating infrastructure.

The World Trade Organization was in 1995, and is one of the smallest organizations global age where the WTO is the successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which was established in the wake of World War II, and its overriding goal is to help the flow and the flow of trade Bslaslh and freedom, and include membership World Trade Organization (WTO) more than (140) members representing more than (90%) of the WTO. / end / 8. d.
