Baghdad / Baghdadi news / .. A member of the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary Qassim Almchkta, Friday, and the existence of an agreement between the Governments of the region and the Centre to approve oil and gas law during the current parliamentary session.
He said Almchkta told / Baghdadi News / "The oil and gas law is one of the points in the agreement signed between the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, during the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Iraqi Kurdistan at the end of last April," noting that "the parties agree on the need to move the work to the legislation law and we tried in more than a meeting of the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary agreement on a draft of the enactment of the national oil company, on the basis that it would be a first step towards the enactment of this law in one of the sessions of the Council of Representatives. "
He added that "the agreement between the center and the region regarding the adoption of the law of oil and gas did not enter into the practical application of limit to this day," explaining that "the Commission has made efforts to the enactment of the national oil company to be the first step to the enactment of the oil and gas."
He is a member of the Kurdistan Alliance, "the House of Representatives completed the first reading of the oil law, but the National Alliance objection to Article / 26 / of the law that was stopped until the agreement of the political blocs in the House of Representatives for a vote on it."
The Almchkta stressed that "the law of oil and gas is not ready to vote so far and needs to be first and second readings to be voted on during the next sessions of the Council of Representatives."
