Confirmed the decision of the parliament, Mohammed al-Khalidi, the House of Representatives to vote on the election law to next Monday.
Khalidi said in a press statement, that "Parliament did not agree today to vote on the election law, and therefore in order to vote on next Monday."
The House of Representatives has failed again Thursday to vote on the election law and decided to postpone the vote to the meeting to be held on Monday at the request of the Kurdistan Alliance, which calls for an increase in the number of compensatory seats, which was one of the reasons for the differences between the political blocs.
The Commission requires the willingness of not less than 6 months for elections scheduled for next April, and so it was left only 6 months and several days of time required to hold the elections on time and not delay.
The Legal Committee announced an agreement blocs to increase the number of seats in parliament [15] compensatory Kmhad, and the rest of the paragraphs of Law, Basttnina the article [24] of the elections in Kirkuk province.
For its part, revealed an MP for the coalition of state law Huda Carpets that "the reason to postpone the vote on the election law after contact was President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani and the Kurdistan Alliance's objection to vote and request to postpone the vote on the law."
The MP said the coalition in Iraq Omar al-Jubouri that "compensatory seats proposed in the electoral law are in increasing the number of seats the Kurds in the next parliament, and are in favor of some of the components that are located in the provinces of Kurdistan region and nearby areas of the province, such as the province of Nineveh, especially of minorities" .
